About the author:

Leah Stanley was 29 years old when her grandparents were diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease and an unspecified dementia, respectively. She is a keynote speaker and breakout session leader, utilizing conferences and workshops to talk with people at every stage of providing care. Her book, “Caring for a Loved One with Alzheimer’s or Other Dementia: Everything I Wish I Had Known” is a 2023 Best Book Award Finalist.

After attending this course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify research that supports seniors’ wishes to age in place
  • Describe the benefits of remaining in a home setting as we age.
  • Discuss strategies and services that allow seniors to age in place
  • Recognize the challenges involved in successfully achieving the stay-at-home scenario

Course Completion Requirements: This course is in a written format, and your certificate will be available for download immediately after successful completion of the post-test and evaluation. A score of 80% or greater is required to pass, and you may re-take the post-test if needed up to 3 times.
